JEFFREY JONES, CPA is a managing partner at Jones & Company, LLC with over 35 years of experience in public accounting and tax preparation. He serves as a Registered Principal of Lion Street Financial at JK Jones Financial Network and holds a Series 7 securities license. Jeff works with a wide range of business in terms of size, entity, and complexity providing accounting, tax, and investment services. Jeff has his BBA from Stetson University and his MBA from the University of Dayton.
DAVID JONES, CPA continues to be a leader in providing financial and tax services in the Mid-Ohio area. Having begun his accounting career in 1962, he was Treasurer of Lancaster City Schools in 1964, then David joined Seth P Norman CPAs in 1966 and became a Partner in 1970. The firm started by Seth P Norman has gone through many changes under David’s leadership to one of the larger regional firms in Ohio. In 2008, David joined his son Jeff Jones as a partner in Jones & Company moving the firm from a regional Ohio firm to a network of CPA offices in Ohio, West Virginia, and Florida. In his 55+ years of experience, David has pretty much been involved in every aspect of public accounting. While he was involved in auditing, he helped one client prepare their initial IPO taking the client public. David eventually focused on assisting clients with buying and selling their business, developing tax strategies to minimize their tax bill, and undertaking estate planning helping clients transfer wealth to next generations. Additionally, David continues to mentor and teach partners and staff in the larger New Generation Financial Network. David earned his undergraduate degree and MBA from Ohio State University. He is active in the local community. He is the past Chairman & member of the Board of Trustees for the Fairfield Medical Center, past President of the Lancaster Country Club, past Treasurer of the United Way of Fairfield County, past President of the Lancaster Area Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the CIC Executive Committee. In his free time now, David enjoys spending time with his wife Joyce and their family and traveling when they can. A former passion that provided him a great deal of enjoyment was being a global scuba diver.
BEN SIMMONS, CPA joined the firm in 2012 and serves as a manager in the Payroll and Accounting departments. Ben also works extensively with Tax Compliance and QuickBooks engagements. Ben is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Ben is a past board member for Fairfield County Meals on Wheels chapter. In his personal life, Ben enjoys his role as a foster parent and is a sports enthusiast.
MIKE NAUMAN joined Jones & Company and JK Jones Financial Network in 1998. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting. He received his Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations from The American College, and holds series 7 and series 65 securities licenses. In the investment area, Mike takes care of wealth management planning for individuals and retirement plans. On the accounting side, he is responsible for the design and maintenance of retirement plan documents, plan administration, and the annual tax returns. Mike resides in Lancaster with his wife,Jeri, and their rescue cat Big Charlie. He enjoys hiking in the woods, reading, and spending time with his family, especially grandson Luke. Mike is an avid college hockey fan, and long-time OSU season ticket holder.
JANETTE SHELLEY started with the Firm in 1991 as the Receptionist then moved to the investment firm in 1995 as the Operations Assistant. She balances between the investment side and the accounting side of the Firm. On the investment side, she sets up client accounts, follow up on client operations, and maintains compliance requirements. On the accounting side, she manages and tracks the office client tax returns throughout the year and helps keep the accountants on track. She is the Executive Assistant to both Jeff and David Jones and takes care of the Jones & Company Family. When not working, she loves to spend time with her boyfriend, Randy, and their dog, Buckeye, her family and friends. She enjoys her country home, sitting on her front porch swing or back patio, in her home town of Thornville, and also enjoys boating on Buckeye Lake.
JODI WHITE joined the Lancaster office in 2018 as a payroll specialist. She has served in the USN and is retired from the USAF, has a BBA from Ohio University and over 10 years of payroll experience. Jodi’s husband is a Lutheran pastor and between them they have 3 grown children. Jodi enjoys spending as much time as she can in her flower gardens, watching visitors to her bird-feeders, or reading crime novels.
BTRISHA DWYER joined the firm in 2019 as an Administrative Assistant. She handles the front desk, takes care of clients, and assists all staff members. Trisha was born and raised in Lancaster and attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies include baking, walking her dogs Murphy and Foxy, shopping and going to the movies.
SARA VAN DIJK joined the firm as a staff accountant in 2020. She has an Associate’s Degree in Accounting & Financial Services from Hocking College. As a 2020 graduate, Sara started her accounting career at Jones & Company. Being a Lancaster resident for over 15 years, Sara is honored to be joining the local firm. She has a 3-year-old mixed breed dog named Lyla who loves to nap all day. Sara enjoys reading, watching Netflix, and relaxing with Lyla in her spare time.
LINDA KNIGHT started at the Firm in 1964, at Seth P. Norman & Co., as a Staff Accountant, and has been involved in every aspect of the Firm. She is also a member of the Lancaster, Ohio Quota International. She has a heart of gold and helps in every way she can. She loves being around family, friends, clients, and associates. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 58 years, her two sons, and three grandchildren. She also loves to travel and is famous for her cooking.
For twenty years, STEPHEN BROWN has represented emerging and established businesses, their owners, and individual clients providing experienced trial advocacy and business counsel from entity formation through corporate governance, from dispute resolution through litigation and appeals. Stephen has developed a practice focus that includes corporate transactions, shareholder disputes and resolution, officer and director counsel and fiduciary duty litigation. Stephen graduated magna cum laude from Ohio University in 1986 and magna cum laude from Capital University Law School in 1998. In law school, Stephen was selected to the Editorial Board of Capital University Law Review, elected into the Order of the Curia, and earned several Excellence in Jurisprudence Awards. In 2012, Stephen was recognized by his Alma Mater, Ohio University, and presented with the Alumni Leadership Award. Stephen is licensed to practice law in all courts in the State of Ohio, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and the Northern Districts of Ohio, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.
Anthony Quinn De Santis, CPA
Tony De Santis, CPA joined Jones & Company, LLC in 2008 as managing partner. In addition to his accounting and tax background, Tony has developed a broad range of knowledge related to complex governmental and nonprofit accounting and reporting. To enhance his CPA background, Tony developed skills as a business system analyst, executive coach, and diversity trainer. Tony received a BBA and Masters of Accountancy degrees from Stetson University. He has also worked on a theology and pastoral counseling degree with the Washington Theological Union.
